This next series of photos were shot on a peaceful walk through my favorite spot a few blocks from my house. I was on a walk by myself with my camera, reflecting on the week and trying to gather my thoughts. I will be going through some changes in the next couple of months and having to make some tough and important decisions. Decisions I never thought I'd have to make at this point in my life and/or career. My camera always takes my mind off of things for a while. It helps me see things differently.

These strands of lights were given to me by my Dad. They have to be at least 30 years old. They are my favorite. The big C9 bulbs. Every year I replenish on spares. I waited long enough this year I got a 5 pack for .70cents at Menards! I bought 10 packs, that's 2 strands worth for $7! You can't by a strand for that!!

Thanks Dad for the hand-me-down Christmas decs! Next year I gotta figure out what to do with red and green spot lights.

These 2 photos are of my dad and my uncle. They were dated 1945-1946. The photo of the boys on the fence was featured in a calendar from Mt. Calvary WI. My cousin reminded me of that a few weeks ago.

The building on "the hill" is the St. Lawrence Seminary. You could see it from my grandparents farm in rural Mt. Calvary where my dad grew up. The original photo was b/w but I colored it in photoshop.

Spent the day snow shoeing in the Horicon Marsh. It was a great day! But my body is getting old!

We had a long relaxing weekend in that area and stayed at the Audubon Inn in Mayville WI. If you ever get a chance to stay there you should definitely give it a try. Great rooms, drinks, food.........
